If you want to get into the holiday spirit and have a good laugh at the same time, one movie stands out as the quintessential Holiday flick. That movie is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. The 1987 John Hughes classic is funny and heart-warming. John Candy plays a well-meaning but obnoxious oaf, and Steve Martin plays an over-wound advertising executive. Both endure everything that can go wrong while traveling during the holidays.
